  Payment Options for Online Casinos

April 10, 2008

The UIGEA ( Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act ) is all about ban of online casinos in US. Though there is not a complete ban, but the law has made it difficult for the US gamblers to deposit money into their casino or poker rooms or for sports betting.

Always there are solutions and alternatives to a problem. Paypal got out of the gambling related transactions and they ban those accounts that deal in online gambling without any notification. But moneybookers and NETeller is still available to help the players. And so most of the poker rooms offer these modes of payment. I have also seen some paypal accepted casinos - No idea what are paypal’s criteria on accepting them !!

casino deposit ways

Credit card, Debit card and online bank transfer is still available but some banks restrict gambling transactions. Because of these restrictions the industry is suffering a loss of online players. But yes, the industry is searching for all possible ways of payment processors that are safe, secure and legal.

Hope the government removes these restrictions and so it becomes easy to make deposit for your favorite online casinos or poker rooms. :)

You should post an update letting people know about the epassporte fiasco!

I still can’t believe they turned their back on the entire gaming industry…
